We challenged chefs of three different skill levels - amateur Emily, home cook Lorenzo, and professional chef Yuji Haraguchi - to prepare their best curry recipe. Once each level of chef had finished and tasted their final product, we asked food scientist Rose to explain their choices from an expert's perspective. Which curry is making you curious?

  • I think there are two different camps when it comes to using the marinade. I think it's perfectly fine to use the marinade as long as it gets cooked. I've been using it for a long time, and I'm still here to write about it.

  • Fun fact about I learned about Japan: Japan is an archipelago and its land in the Olsen days wasn’t good for farming and did not have much trees or plants so they could not cook the fish the caught so the ate raw fish and seafood and that is how raw fish delicacies became popular in japan And to those Japanese ppl out there idk 🤷‍♀️ f this so true someone told me so ya

  • I really love how the lvl 3 utilities the parts of the meat and doesn’t waste it

  • The real expert curry chef is not the chef who try new ingredients in curry but it should be a chef who blend new spice that matching new ingredients. We call chef who cook curry with already blend spice is amature or reqular homecock. I have taste the Japan curry, it not as good as Indian curry. Some expert curry maker blending thier spice created a heavenly unique taste and even it was kept as secret.

  • Oxymoron: 'it's important to kill the animals without suffering.' There is no killing compassionately a living being that doesn't want to die for you. Killing them by stabbing them on the head is causing them suffering even if you use time as justification for an immoral act of cruelty. There is no justification. They suffered. This wasn't an act of compassion, mercy or kindness. It is just to alleviate your own conscience.

  • This was fascinating. I’ve always wanted to try curry but I’ve always been afraid to since I’ve heard that curry is traditionally hot & spicy, which I absolutely CANNOT have. Unless I can find a curry dish that I’m certain isn’t hot and spicy I’ll forever be in the dark as to it’s taste.
