  • I hate this idiot. When something does the job perfectly like the spirallizer it means it needs 5 stars. U cant complain cuz u don't like to spiralize food that's nit the tools fault

  • I have seen and use very reliable products on these videos. Yet he always sits on a design even though I’ve never heard of any of the products he’s helped make.

  • 1:10 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  • By constantly doing the left handed oil test he keeps on making his left hand more dexterous which is gonna make this test redundant

  • You are a great scorer. I am a new Subscriber and I am always looking for gadgets. ✌🏽

  • *Me and the gf getting frisky in the bedroom* Her: Babe what are you doing Me: By making my non-dominant hand slippery, it's gonna quickly highlight areas for improvement

  • Can you guys do a swap episode with a dish with chicken?

  • Dan: "The hits were not as much of a hit as they could have been" Rapid slicer: :(

  • Hey dan, you use the vegetable full Star Chopper the wrong way. You have to press on the Front edge of the Choppers lid. Just take your fist and smash on the Front of the lid. This is working:) good luck

  • Can’t stand these videos. If it wasn’t the other ones on the channel I’d have unsubbed.

  • Pada papapaaaaa 6:12

  • I’m I the only kid Who Love this stuff

  • The handheld spiralizer would be far better if it were mounted sideways and had a hand crank.

  • To work effectively with the chopper you have to turn the vegetable upside down. A round side is easier to engage in the blade.

  • Dan: buys new phone "Time for the left handed oil test"

  • Years ago I had a job in a country club grill and the device that I used was quite simple to use so I figure that chopper isn’t worth the price compared to the device that I used for 6 months

  • I always love Dan episodes ❤️❤️❤️

  • They should do a video with just garlic gadgets... there are so many

  • i want him to use crank chop and slap chop

  • How do yo clean that carot peeler ? Problem solved. Put the half potato upside down. Problem solved.

  • Please add washability to the rating categories.

  • Does this guy act in those infomercials??? God damn this was frustrating to watch

  • The vegetable chopper might have dull blades. A lot of those body-slammer salad cutters have that common problem because people *cough cough americans* are careless and cut themselves on them.

  • I wonder if any of the company products that he reviewed used his redesign ideas because it's a free advice

  • I think it would be easier on the vegetable chopper, if u put your onion or potatoes upside down, so the pressure point on veggies will be only at the tip of it.

  • I like that rapid slicer. I've tried the two lid hack, and it's ok, but a bit slippery; the tomatoes like to try to escape. I love the smiley face! Dan's the MAN!

  • Sneaking up on the chopper cracked me up! 😆

  • Did he ever see that baby chopping vegetables with that vegetable chopper? The kid goes ham id say usuabilty 10/10 just smack it

  • Fruits/Vegetables Dan would redesign? 👀

  • I'm glad Dan the gadget man always considers those with disabilities

  • I agree, Dan! I also prefer generous lips that aren't too tight 😏

  • i swear they give him cheap versions of these products, i’ve seen way more efficient garlic wheel chopper thingies

  • Who cuts tomatoes in half?

  • The company that made the handheld spiralizer could have made a drill attachment on to the vegetable holder so it could be so much faster

  • るるみるルシ師露味酒路類暦流茶代、食物に乗って!

    • Ok anyone know what I said I just started typing random stuff

  • Hgckhgckhgckugcvu,g

  • Say it with me....It's time for the "LEFT HANDED OIL TEST!" *Wooooooooh! Hahaha but for real I do look forward to his videos.

  • Dan Formosa is the new Inspector Gadget. Do you not agree?

  • Hey Dan, I think you put the vegetables in the chopper upside-down. It's a natural thing to do, to want more stability, but I think the curve of the opposite side of the veggie would let the blade bite in to a much smaller surface area at the start, and from there it should be relatively easy.

  • That full star seamed a little unfair if you just cut them into quarters instead of big halves I wonder if it would turn into a 4-5

  • Make him say some Elmer Fudd quotes! lol

  • it's like. "look at this useless gadget which cuts a onion in 5 minutes" vs "look at how fastly I cut an onion while having an experience with two perfectly working hands"

  • he gave a 5/5!! im buying one

  • I don't think he was using the vegetable chopper very well. He mentions that it needs more leverage, but in his testing he was pressing down on the center of chopper and not taking advantage of the leverage it had to begin with. That's why it was much harder. It could still probably use more built-in leverage, but it felt like he was purposely using it inefficiently to have something to improve.

  • "im gonna try sneaking up on it"

  • Dan is the only thing keeping me going these days.

  • Hypothetically tools like these could be helpful for my chronic hand pain, but it seems like you need to do a lot with your hands regardless for a lot of them 😅

  • I dunno man, it seemed like the carrot peeler really did a good job trying to make itself handicap accessible. Maybe the bolt is finicky but it doesn't take too much force to use, the blades are pretty well hidden and it comes with that plunger so you don't have to yank it from the bottom.

  • It's so weird that the rolling garlic chopper did so poorly! I use one of them on the regular in my kitchen - it's great for mincing both garlic and ginger, so I'm always using it for stir fries/ramens/curries - and it's never failed me, even with a ton of garlic packed in tightly.

  • And they cooked zucchini tomato soup at the end of the shoot....

  • The third chopper is very similar to things actively used in the fast food industry, but the lever arm of those are way longer, and they're made of heavy sturdy metals, not plastic, so they over all require insanely less effort. Its a good tool idea, but commercializing industrial level cutting tools is not so easy as that attempt.

  • I'd like to see one of these where he uses gadgets he designed, how he would do it differently with experience and explained some of the constraints as to why he maybe couldn't have free reign to do it that way originally

  • 8:47 I rewatched it 2 times to realize that he meant giving the gadget to the kids without the blades, not taking out these blades and give'em to the kids for them to play with

  • Wait I love the rolling garlic chopper? You have to give it more runs than he did. You can mince with it if you use it enough

  • For the tomato cherry device , he doesnt count the time to stack the tomatoes in the device, which is a significant hastle.

  • "So! I brought another table to put on this table." Instant like on the video

  • Any other gentlemen out there feel incredibly uncomfortable during the carrot peeler?

  • Are y’all stupid. Y’all are like the carrots gonna fall on the floor. Bruh just put a trash can in the side where you are peeling the carrots p.

  • 15:40 Bought it today as well XD

  • These videos have gotten so old at this point. I just want to see a 2 minute video of all the devices in use.

  • Dan Vs. Gadgets returns!

  • I never thought I would be judging someone’s speed peeling a single carrot or dicing an onion, but I do that stuff daily many times over.

  • commented right before its a day after uploaded

  • The garlic chopper is actually quite nice. I have one myself. For the very large cloves, just cut them in half.

  • I would like a "washability" category

  • Carrot PELER

  • All the carrot peeler needed was a pencil sharpener-like component to peel the tips before pushing the carrot through the main blades, that would have made it much more effective

  • i like his sense of humor lmao. and the fact he always deliver his jokes without laughing or even smiling

  • For the copper u have give it a fast force u don’t have to use whole body weight If u do it slow it will be more hard. And FYI I use it in my house so don’t come at me 😇

  • The carrot peeler works, but it looks quite flimsy. It wouldn't last long.

  • My wife actually bought one of those spiralisers. It cost a stupid amount of money and she never uses it. Seriously, who needs any of those gadgets?

  • The redesign of the clamp would have reduced the places you could affix the carrot peeler, you wouldn't be able to place it on the lip of a counter with a cupboard for example. Making it small, if not more fiddly, allows you to place it somewhere with less clearance. So is a more damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

  • I used to feel so annoyed that SO MANY kitchen gadgets existed.. now I am forever grateful, because I could watch Dan reviewing them forever! 😅

  • My parents had a veggie chopper with similar grid but it had a footlong lever. It was still hard as he'll to use and ended up in the attic.

  • "And include the logo of the company so that when you do find it in your drawer, you'd know where it goes" Dang, that's some next level design experience, and exactly why I watch this series

    • Right? so many important things accidently thrown away...

  • Why not just make the chopper go straight down? That would be more compact and better than making an extra long handle.

  • On the spiralizer, put a nice chunky handle sticking out from the base so you don't have to grip the round base part at all.

  • Why don’t you measure the time for cleaning and reusable? Because what I see some of the products it super hard to clean or impossible to get clean at all after couple of used.

  • 😆😆.... Who comes up with these gadgets?

  • You know how some movies come out straight to DVD? Some products go straight to landfill... Looking at you garlic crusher

  • I have one of the vegetable chopper at home, definetly found you need to chop food into quarters (length ways, not round ways, if that makes sense) otherwise too much pressure is needed. otherwise good if you need to do a LOT in a short period of time

  • "I would make these lips not as tight but also a lot more generous so you can get a finger under there really easily" Dan pls

  • For the 3rd gadget, you dont have to cut the round vegetables in half to make it work with less effort. I was disappointed that an industrial engineer didn't know that.

  • I don't know how bugs bunny got rich with this

  • For the vegetable chopper, you have to add a lot of force at once, don’t do a slow push like what you did in the video. Chops in like 4 sec

    • thats why when he got the jump on it. it worked almost instantly.

  • "I'm gonna try sneaking up on it." 😂 I love this man.

  • I use a similar vegetable chopper to make salsa (tomato and onions). However, use 1/2 to 1 inch slices, not half an onion or potato. You're trying to dice, not make fries. Also, I make a fist and hit it... it's just easier for me. Otherwise, I love this!

  • 12:41 that part cracked me up so hard =))))))))))))))

  • I love this man so much 🙌🏻❤️

  • I have one of those kind of Garlic Choppers! I honestly love it, but I'll absolutely agree that they should have gone with a higher gear ratio. My cleaner tool actually was green, so I guess that's not created equal across all models or brands?

  • I'll stick to spinny chopper, the one that got 5-5-4.5 score

  • Please being this man back. He is awesome!!

  • did he just... SNEAKING ON ONION??

  • i think i would hold the spiralizer sideways over a bowl and twist the vegetable into it

  • This is so fun and interesting to watch lol.

  • Plot twist: he designed one of the gadgets then forgot and is now critiquing himself

  • The carrot peeler could be used with only one hand. I feel like he scored it too low

  • I kinda just watch these for Dan now

  • i have similar veggie chopper at home, best thing ever, could be something with the blades and design on that one, but i absolutely have to disagree with the technique of putting the flat side on top of the blades as it increases the surface area and should make it way more difficult to cut through. otherwise its a timesaving product

  • It sounds like a specialized theory related to machinery science.
