  • 9:16 I just make separate small cakes and the pile them on each other no make a tall cake and cut

  • Next : effectiveness -100000

  • When Dan gives you a Zero, you should consider an alternate career path...

  • The lesson of the day cake is easy enough stop trying to make it easier

  • @5:06 that little sliver of cake goes to the person who says, "Oh, just a tiny sliver for me." There are at least 3 people in my family who say some variant of that every time cake is served. Liking the person is optional. 😉😄

  • A cheesecake is a pie, not a cake.

  • Curved cake slicer rating was unfair, people can consume the excess slices because it adds up to at least a whole slice most of the time.

  • This guy isn’t the brightest. Not who I would’ve used for this video.

    • That cake server, you have to retract the blade. This dude is kind of dense.

    • Bro the curved cake slicer... you literally go directly to the left... his yin yang didn’t make any damn sense either.

  • Okay america, 1 question, why would you NEED a curved cake slicer? Like genuinely?

  • What I happened to that cheese cake 😣

  • dan: how can i be in a bad mood? im surrounded by cake also dan: į̰̻̯̉ͤ͊ͧ ̗͍̆̓̃̇̃H̵͖̯ͪ͑ ̣̬̓͆̾͢a̗̽ͬ ͖̀͐̉͛ͮ̆̐Tͫ̍ͪ̓ ̸̲̰̹̭͇̻̼̎E̺͈͗̌͟ ̪̬̦͇ͤ͌ͧ̓ͫ ̠͔̣͇͔ ̧̤̖̗̯̇̽̾ͣ̆C̨̩̱͉̮̳̱̾̽͗A̛̳̖̘̰͕͕̖͌̆̚̚ ̫̗͕͎̮̟͓̅́͊ ̙ͮͣͩ̿̌ ̹͔͍̣͔͍̄̐͛k̝̘͙̭̻̩ͤ͌̊̒͗͗͢ͅ ̫̙̲͈̞̺̐̄̂̏ ͓͍͎͊̃͊͆ͮͩͅE̠͈̠͍̦̼̳͟

  • The interesting chimpanzee superiorly announce because lan commercially accept through a kindly submarine. quiet, confused shock

  • I wonder who uses oil when using kitchen gadgets

  • I wonder if he’s ever worked for Oxo? When I started baking I realized the things I favored most were Oxo products without even realizing it. My favorite spatula, containers, tongs, etc., all from Oxo

  • The Wilton cake leveler uses just one “blade” in the form of a wire, so it’s easier to get even layers and it’s got plastic feet that allow it to easily glide over surfaces. Also uses springy wires at the edge of the leveler if you need to readjust heights. No screws to screw with.

  • This guy cracks me up! Love his humor

  • I don't think the last one deserve zero

  • how is he not craving all of those cakes

  • The cake leveler he redesigned also would not work. If you push at the top handle, you also need something fixed at the bottom too, something like a sliding blade. Without that, the blade basically tilts down if you don't fix the blade at the bottom hard enough.

  • When cutting a cake you always have to wipe your knife clean after every cut. That is true no matter what method of deviding you use.

  • Kitchen gadget designers are VERY smart

  • The man used a protractor and a ruler to cut a cake. What is this geometry class?

  • "I am not even halfway through and I already want to take a nap." -Dan Formosa 2021

  • I really feel like having a piece of cake now...

  • Delicious cake! Let me just drown my sorrows with oil while I'm at it...

  • american cakes dont really have much cream between layers..i only see bread

  • B b b. B. B. B b

  • B b b b

  • This dude used math to divide a cake??? Not in my house

  • For cake leveling, in the store I frequented, they use strings.

  • My favorite youtube personality!!

  • Apparently cake making gadget designers are a bit dumb

  • He’s tough

  • You came back tough

  • The five scale accordingly use because celery biologically license despite a immense page. spurious, towering handsaw

  • Perfect cake divider: Just get a protractor. Curved cake slicer: Why? Cake leveler: Doesn't beat a hacksaw blade and a pair of wood stakes. Cake server: A regular cake slicer does better than this. Two-handed slicer: Doesn't beat a regular knife.

  • The two-handed cake slicer looks like a modified horse grooming tool. I think they're called de-shedding blades

  • you really, really have to wipe down your knife after every cut, dividing gadget or not

  • He should use the watermelon divider as a cake cutter.

  • I am not half way through and I want to take a nap. he is killing me with his jokes lmao.

  • About the cake leveler, I see a lot of people saying that the way he’s using it is to resemble an average user. But guess what, that is not an utensil for the average user, it is a tool for pastry chefs, who know how to properly use it. It’s the same that if someone goes and buys a professional camera and say it’s not working cause the photos are bad, yeah boo, cause you’re not a photographer...

  • Glad he does the left handed test. Me as a lefty often comes across tools that just don't work with your left hand. Scissors is the most commonly known example. But things like knifes can be unusable as well. Most people don't realize this because they only know the right handed perspective

  • And this is why I lick my knife after every slice. ( My parents don't love it )

  • imagine the world where we had invented all these weird specific gadgets first and then one day somebody invents the knife and becomes an immediate millionaire.

  • He should at least read the instructions of the gadgets 😂

  • You can use the watermelon slicer as your cake cutter instead.

  • To be fair, a cheesechake was the worst possible cake to use the cake divider on

  • Taras Kul: hmmmmmmm

  • The imperfect swedish positionally tire because biplane biologically turn inside a forgetful bus. cool, snotty passenger

  • Your mind is not working

    • 2nd item is good u just have to use plane side to cut

  • You know how bad the gadgets are when you lose the mood to eat cake

  • I know the cake leveler wasn't great, but it's slices were more even than his own with the knife which should have been put into consideration. That said, I think the knife is better in that situation.

  • For the algorithm.

  • the cake leveler's blade looks like a Figure Saw's Blade i used in School

  • i can see the gadgets being bad but damn, those cakes look so bad lmao they just look tough and overcooked

  • "cake making gadgets" *All the cakes were already made*

  • Do people just not know how to use knives? It really isnt that hard

  • thank god he's not a teacher

  • Dan said its demanding to serve cake with two hands, but he uses two hands both ways to hold the cake onto the server...

  • I want cake

  • this guy sucks

  • They tried you should get a zero

  • I have a cake layer slicer but it's like a wire rather than a blade and its much better than the one featured in this video.

  • Time for left handed oil test ✍️

  • That's another level!

  • At Waffle House we had what they called a pie guide.. almost like a basket, put it over the pie and cut through the guides, it was a made of steel...worked like a charm

  • I think that instruction manual is useful for americans because from this video i assume that they dont really think logically

  • what the hell is . it seems unnecessary

  • he brought the Cloud’s Buster sword to cut a cake!

  • I literally doesn't focus at the function or usable of the gadget instead i focus on his comments that a lil bit funny😂

  • "Damn it! I should not make it on metal!"

  • I guess many of these designers did not study how cake actually looks and feels like. I wonder why they actually did not test them out beforehand. This is random but I am craving cake now.

  • He just didn't keep the leveller on that flat surface. Cake levellers are really handy

  • Take a shot every time he says "boy"

  • the 3 knifes cake slicer should get wheels

  • just cut your cake with a big knife at this point

  • That last gadget looked to me like me might a case of wrong type of cake. For an apple pie or apple crumble cake it would be useful to have something to prevent the fruit from falling of the side of the cake slice when lifting it.

  • How some of those "designers" have jobs is ridiculous! Those designs are laughable

  • Seems like people have real difficulty cutting cake 😅

  • 1:24 ok be honest its the knife that's messes it up but the rest is true

  • *I guess the cake divider only works on Pies* *_cue bass slapping soundtrack_*

  • Oily hand wtf is that test

  • Dan is back!

  • I have another suggestion. How about instead of any of these as well as most kitchen gadgets you just use a knife and a little bit of practice.

  • i hungry

  • The thing that irritates me the most about all these products is that they made it into production.

  • Are these cakes in the US? I would call them bread with frosting. Where are the layers, jams, sauces, fruits, fillings? I... there's no way they actually taste like anything other than sugar

  • I honestly believe many of these gadgets are just supposed to look interesting and seem useful at a glance, especially for the layperson, actual utility not being considered in the design process.

  • My only question: why would anyone want a curved slice of cake?

  • Maybe because your old and just slow lol

  • When my teacher said Maths has many uses in life, cutting cake was probably not on his list

  • (I'm talking about hands) you need to be a lefty to see if it works for lefty's I think

  • To whoever invented the easy slice. We already have one at home, it's called a knife

  • I think the biggest issue is they are not sharp enough. a Blunt piece of metal is not cuting the cake properly

  • Is anyone going to question why he doesn’t wipe his knife after slicing.... who does this !! It’s a crime and a waste

  • one of these days you should actually make your redesigns, I would love to see that.

  • You don’t need these things, it’s not gonna make or break your dish

  • That first cheesecake gave me anxiety

  • Should you add a "for disabled " category?

  • I immediately thought of MC Escher type slicer too and can't believe the person who made the curved one didn't even try!
